Neben dem Text des Liedes ist auch das Video sehr gelun­gen und äußerst tief­sin­nig, wie ich finde:

Das sehr gut pas­sen­de Video zeigt sinn­bild­lich wie wir illu­sio­nä­ren Idolen in den Medien hin­ter­her­lau­fen, die­se ver­su­chen zu imi­tie­ren und schließ­lich dar­an zer­bre­chen. Der Zoom aus dem Bild am Ende des Videos ver­deut­licht das noch­mals und über­trägt es sym­bo­lisch auf den Zuschauer.

Ronan Harris und Mark Jackson bil­den VNV Nation, eine Elektro-Musikgruppe aus Dublin und London. Sie kom­bi­nie­ren Elemente aus Electronic Body Music (ebm), Industrial und Synthpop und for­men damit eine Musikrichtung, die sie Futurepop nennen.
